VALLEY GRANDE MANOR TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL NURSES WEEK

WESLACO – Valley Grande Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center will celebrate National Nurses Week, May 6-12, with numerous events that celebrate the work these dedicated professional do on a daily basis to ensure proper care and respect for patients and their families.

“We are fortunate to have a dedicated and long-term staff of nursing professionals here at Valley Grande Manor,” said Bill Lowe, administrator. “These nurses are on the front lines dealing with patients and their families during difficult times of convalescence and rehabilitation. We are all proud of the work they do and it is important to recognize their service during this week and every day.”

The American Nurses Association (ANA) sponsors this important week with the following mission statement:

During National Nurses Week and throughout the year, ANA is proud to celebrate the role nurses play in delivering the highest level of quality care to their patients. The National Nurses Week 2015 theme “Ethical Practice. Quality Care.” recognizes the importance of ethics in nursing and acknowledges the strong commitment, compassion and care nurses display in their practice and profession.
