WESLACO – Valley Grande Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (www.vgmweslaco.com) recently held a community outreach on its campus that provided a variety of free services to area residents while promoting wellness.
The following free screening services were given to many area residents:
. Blood pressure checks
. Blood sugar level checks
“This is one of the ways we are giving back to the local community,” said Bill Lowe, administrator. “Many people take for granted their health and only address issues when it’s too late. These are basic examinations that can lead to a healthier life and better practices.
“Our goal with both of these outreach programs is to educate residents of the Valley on ways to remain healthy,” added Lowe. “We hope our neighbors will take advantage of these initiatives as we promote healthy lifestyles.”
Valley Grande Manor will schedule more of these events in the future. Please visit www.vgmweslaco.com for the dates.
