WESLACO – Residents and staff of Valley Grande Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center had a busy recent week by dropping by the Weslaco Police and Fire Departments to show their appreciation.
“We wanted to show our appreciation to our local first responders for the great work they do every day,” said Bill Lowe, administrator. “It is so comforting to know that our city is being protected and our residents are being cared for by such professional organizations and committed individuals.”
The residents and staff were treated to “behind the scenes” tours of each location.
“It was an exciting day for all of us,” said Joe Longoria,” Director of Rehabilitation. “Everyone enjoyed visiting with the police and firemen during such a relaxed and pleasant time.”
The residents and staff from Valley Grande Manor also delivered gift bags that included brisket sandwiches, soft drinks, chips, and brochures on Valley Grande Manor. Both the police and fire departments were presented with Certificates of Appreciation from the staff and residents.
