Valley Grande Manor resident Virginia Villanueva celebrates.
WESLACO – It was an old-fashioned, “star-spangled” Independence Day Weekend at Valley Grande Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Hundreds of residents, family members, and those in the community stopped by for a wide range of entertainment, hot dogs, music, fireworks, and many other fun events to help celebrate the birth of our nation.
“This was just a great event,” said Bill Lowe, administrator. “The activities were enjoyable, but just as important was that throughout the day we focused on the importance of the holiday and how privileged we are to be living in this great country.
“I want to thank our entire staff for putting together such a great event.”
“It was so much fun seeing our residents smile and mingling with all of the guests,” said Joe Longoria, Director of Rehab. “They all participated with red, white, and blue clothing and celebrated a great holiday. Our entire staff did a wonderful job putting all of this together. It is an important holiday, and those visiting Valley Grande Manor certainly felt patriotic and understood the value of this day.”
